Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, our cattle are grassfed and grassfinished, meaning they only get grass and absolutely no grain on our ranch.
NO!! Our cattle spend their lives intensively grazed in the pasture on our farm. They are given fresh water and moved minimum once a day to a new section of grass during the spring/summer/early fall. We live in Manitoba and the winters are harsh so we feed them grass/alfalfa bales on open pasture.
We seek to be caring stewards of our animals and we believe in doing things as naturally as we are able. We do this by using no added hormones or unnecessary antibiotics. In very rare and critical situations, our cattle might have to be given antibiotics, but that is only if that animals health and wellbeing is at risk.
To give you an example of how rare this would be, we have not had to administer any antibiotics, as everything has been managed utilizing different modalities.
Absolutely will NOT be administering this to anything on our ranch.
