Justin Moyer works day and night to make sure that Spirit Sands Ranch runs smoothly. While still working as a heavy duty mechanic by trade, his mechanical skills come in handy throughout the year. His background as a hired hand when he first started out helped him realize his dream of becoming a rancher. Justin is a long time horseman, Justin's trains his own horses and is a self taught farrier. It has been through Regenerative Agriculture Justin has began seeing his dream come to fruition.
Pauline Moyer
The Mother of all Ranchers (below)
Managing the Ranch, homeschooling the kids, hauling animals, creating the marketing, emails, customer communication/service, creating the grazing plan, farm expansion, and product development...not to mention the famous "helping the husband load animals bit"! She goes where she is needed and encourages the kids to get their daily chores done. In the early years did the chores with the kids until they were confident to do them on their own. Evolving the Ranch as time moves forward has proven to be a great life lesson and putting her health and family first is always the best option. Pauline has re-entered the world of bodybuilding which helps her maintain her sanity while trying to help everyone in their own thing.
Kohen Bridgeman
Rancher
Kohen certainly pulls his weight around the ranch by completing his daily chores. We like to call him the "chick" man because he has an extremely great outcome when raising the chicks. His loving nature/nurturing character has graduated him to head of the brooding hut. He has drove miniatures, moved animals, intensively grazed horses/cows...cleaned out the chicken coop. When Justin is not around he is the muscles of the group, at 6'4" (finally taller than Dad) and still growing there is lots we can get him to do that make our life easier!
Kyrna Moyer
Rancher
Kyrna is not afraid of hard work and proves it daily. She puts in 100% and is entirely an animal lover, giving cuddles to every animal on her path during the day. She loves to ride horses, drive the tractor, pick bales and help neighbours when she can. She as well has been working on training horses and has taken up reining and LOVES it. Teaching her from small has allowed her to have the confidence to run the ranch on her own, even on the tough days.
Hudson Moyer
Rancher
A chip of the ol' block definitely applies to Hudson. Just like Justin he doesn't mind getting dirty especially if that means a job well done. He is carving a niche for himself on the farm through fixing things around the house and ranch, learning to drive the tractor safely, moving animals when intensively grazing, or loading and training his own horse. In the last couple years he has taken an interested in flying and is determined to become a pilot...and a rancher....and a mechanic...so we will see how this evolves.
